Up close with a green sea turtle

On Day 2 of the PADI course, after learning how to clear water out of our masks and buoyancy practice, we were exceptionally luck to stumble upon a green sea turtle having a scratch on the coral.GOPR0704_Moment

Our dive instructor, Jed, took some amazing, up close footage for us. I thought we had scared the turtle of but he was just rising to the surface to grab some air before returning to the same scratching coral. The turtle was so close to me, I was so excited when it swam passed.

We also saw some sand munchers (not sure what they’re called) and a big snapper.
